After lots of tinkering and learning how to read those crochet patterns (took me forever!), I managed to crochet a ball. Not too bad for my first beginner project I might say. For anyone else that's interested here's a great how to video. Now off on my next project. I'm going to attempt to crochet some Amigurumi.

The two boys and I are up in Edmonton this week visiting my family and I have a little bit more time not having to worry about the renovations. So of course I can't just sit around and do nothing creative for too long. I decided to give crocheting a try since all you need is a crochet hook and some yarn. Much, much easier then lugging around paints or a sewing machine. So far I can only do a single stitch but I am determined to learn much more. I'm finding crocheting to be quite enjoyable and relaxing. Another hobby to add on my list yet again.

I never realized how much work goes into renovating. It's A LOT!! We are still in mist of renovation mode right now. Drainage and electrical is done, the dry wall is all up, and the old carpet upstairs is all out. Things are getting done slower then we expected. The slow part is trying to level everything out since it's such an old house. I finally made my decisions on the paint colors, the tiles, and laminates. Can't wait to see it all come together. I'm up in Edmonton visiting my family for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully this will give the chance for Darcy to get as much done as possible without the kids or me around.
